2001
  • Foundation stone for the college, was laid by the Most. Rev. S. Edward Francis DD, Bishop of Sivagangai.
    • 2004
  • Ananda college was opened and blessed by the Bishop of Sivagangai on 12 July with admission of 77 Students for the first acadamic year recognized by Alagappa University
  • College started with B.Com with CA, B.Sc, Mathematics,B.Sc, Bio Chemistry, and B.Sc, Computer Science
    • 2005
  • B.Sc, Physics & B. Com were introduced.
    • 2007
  • M.Com was started as the first PG course.
  • The inauguration of Bishop Francis Block
    • 2008
  • .BBA & BCA courses were started.
  • College chapel built with Indian culture,was opened and blessed on 31 January

    2009
  • Conversion of M. Com into M. Com with CA.
    • 2010
  • B. A. English Literature was started.
  • Wiederkehr Administrative building was blessed and opened on 20 January.
  • Inauguration of English Language Lab was on 10th December.
  • IQAC was started.

    2011
  • MSW, M. Sc. IT., & M. Sc., Mathematics were started.
  • Conversion of B.Sc., Biochemistry into B.Sc, Chemistry.
  • Introduction of all the Add - on courses.
  • Inauguration of Science Mela by Thavathiru Kundrakudi Ponnambala Adikalar on 8 January & valediction by Honourable Minister Mr. Napolean on 10 January.
  • Book Mela was conducted.

  • Opening of additional block for Josefine hostel.
  • Mega Job Mela - I was organized.
  • Ananda Flood-Light Basket Ball Court was established on 2nd May. Thanks to Mrs. & Mr. I. Paulraj & Family (Praleka Engineering Company, Madurai).

  • M. A. English Literature was started. College got 2 (A) & 12 (B) recognition from U.G.C. Submission of self study report to NAAC. Establishment of INFLIBNET.
  • Wiederkehr Open Auditorium, Bishop Susaimanickam Block and Josef Block were opened on 27 January.

  • Accreditation with 'B' grade by NAAC

  • Dr. Josef Wiederkehr, the benevolent donor of our college, was called to the eternal abode on 14 Aug.

  • M.Sc, Chemistry was started.
  • Conversion of M.Sc IT into M.Sc. Computer Science.
  • Mega Job Mela - II was organized.
    • 2019
  • B.A., Tamil Literature was introduced.
    • 2022
  • Inaugration of Ananda Guest Quarters.
  • Opening of Additional Class room in New Block

  • B.Sc., Physical Education was started.
  • Skill Development Courses were Introduced.

  • B.Sc, Data Science & B.Com, Accounting and Finance Courses were started.
  • Tailoring & Typing Skill Courses were introduced.
  • A.V hall was inagurated in the second floor of Bishop Francis block.
  • Microsoft office Computer lab was opened.as part of Skill Ananda.
  • Each Department was provided with one projector with rolling screen and one advanced computer system.
  • Seminar hall - I was upgraded into airconditioned hall with one interactive panel.
